So when you make the decision you either need to have a website of when you decide you need a new website you need to ask yourself a couple of questions.
What do you expect the website to do?
What is the audience groups specifically you are targeting?
Once you answer these questions then you can take the next step of finding someone to build that site for you. Then once you build it who is going to do the updates and who will manage it. These are all very important questions you need to be firm on so the site will be a success and do what it is suppose to do which to help your business grow.
So what type of websites are there? You can have a site that will just tell people of who you are and what you do and how to contact you. Such as a brick and mortor store. Many do not sell on online so you have to come in the store to get your product or service. This is called a brochure site.
Next there will be a site that sells items. This can be a product or a service. This will have a link to the item you sell and then there will be a 3rd party that takes your visitors order and emails you the order so you can fulfill it. This is called a site with a shopping cart or ecommerce.
Then there is a marketing site. This site has the most options on it for you have different actions that the visitor can take. It can be both types from above or it can be a quick and easy site to say something like "For More Information call me (Phone #)". But as you may or may not know by now that a after thought way of marketing to someone is to get their email. Once you get their email then you have a tie with them. They signed up with you for more info or to watch a webinar or for a Ebook or something else. This is all a way to market your business, even if it is just to sign up for a newsletter.
